Unfolding the story of Bronte sisters, I observed three vibrant characters. Emily Bronte, an intrepid, strong-willed lady with delicate and loving soul. Reading through her masterpiece “Wuthering Heights”, you will see Heathcliff’s affection and resentment are so intense that he throws himself in deep hatred. And you will never forget Catherine’s intertwined passion with both Heathcliff’s wild, boldness with her restlessness. On one hand, she found a striking resemblance of personality between her and Heathcliff. On the other hand, she struggles to find a solid reason to balance her pursuit of love and disparity of social status. Finally, she has to yield to reality and her desire. Heathcliff was torn by these two conflicting emotions. And this became the driving forces for his revenge.

It is hard to imagine that a character has gone through so many low ebbs, yet reading about her, we are shaping our own personalities.

Notably, Emily Bronte refused to have her poems published, she acted as mediator in the gain Emily’s consent. Though she comes across as gentle, her spirit remains fearless.
