3.不随波逐流，坚定的做自己

他沉浸在自己的世界，一直坚持做自己想做的事情。可以想像当时他提出做电动车大家都觉得只是个概念而已，可是他却坚持着，让这个概念成为了事实。曾经看到一个报道说他是外星人，到火星的飞船，还有真空隧道。。。
如果心里有一个一定要达到的目标，就会有行动力朝着目标努力了，如果自己还没有动起来，可能是这个目标还不够有吸引力。

写到这里，我不禁想起我家蛋蛋，蛋蛋从小就很喜欢科学，随着年纪增大，更清晰的把目标锁定自己喜欢的化学，有时候甚至有研究稀有的放射性金属的倾向，他说过他职业的选择要考虑两个方面，一是他的兴趣，他希望他的职业可以很好的和他的兴趣契合，二是对人类社会贡献的大小，他把这点作为他最大的追求，即使因此搭上性命也觉得值得。
我从没给他上给过所谓的科学家的道德情操课，不知道他哪里来的那么大的抱负，也许是他越了解科学，越感叹科学的奇妙，越感概科学带给人类巨大的进步吧。
想想现在的年轻人就业考虑的是什么呢？薪水，条件，地位，前景等等，有多少人会想到对世界，对社会的贡献影响呢？
人的思维的格局也真的某种程度上决定了他的成功。往往有这种大格局的人，他不是在顺应某种流行潮流，他也不是为了发财，他对自己的未来有一个完整的计划。
Elon Musk属于科技精英，他某种意义上可以说是学者，但他的独特之处在于他不是纯粹的只做学问，而是他喜欢把那些对未来重要的，真正有价值的技术，以某种方式变为现实，这真的将会对世界产生深远的影响。“我不想被看作一个新手，我不喜欢跟风和投机，我不是投资者。我喜欢把那些对未来重要的，真正有价值的技术，以某种方式变为现实”。

Musk传记看到第三章了，他的经历，所取得成就对我有哪些指导，哪些可以借鉴的呢？从第一章，我们可以看到，Musk身体很棒，能长期承受高强度的工作；第二章、第三章，我们看到他不寻常的童年经历，以及天赋异禀的能力；这些都不是普通人所具备的，我能从中学习到哪些东西应用到我的平时生活中呢？我认为应该是执行力吧，或者说是行动力，事情想到了就做，全心全意的去做，追女孩也好，写论文也好，开公司也罢，但凡想做成一定需要这样。

虽然挺佩服Elon大神对爱情的执着追求，但是我个人其实不太赞成这种在“契而不舍”的精神。Elon在与人相处上也带入了自己处理工作的态度和模式：定下目标，制定和实施计划，并且绝不半途而废。但是这种模式有时可能会给对方造成一种压迫感，而且很难在感情里细水长流。我甚至都有些怀疑，Musk对Justine的情结到底是他深爱着Justine还是出于一种强烈的胜负欲使得他不甘心自己无法赢得Justine的芳心。

Musk和芸芸众生的区别是什么？他从一开始就有个颠覆世界的大目标，是典型的put end in mind, 众人还在满足于毕业后有个工作就好了，Musk已经理性地、毫不妥协地开启了大目标，并向着这个大目标行进。

in another nod to the future并不是什么固定的用法，它想表达的字面意思是“对未来的一个点头”，nod在这里可以认为是“影响”。我们看那个时候的Elon Musk，就知道这孩子筋骨奇特将来必成大器，结果未来他真的成了个人物。
语法：
1. The only thing that makes sense to do is strive for greater collective enlightenment.
【is后面为什么用了原形strive？而不是to strive？因为这个句型是一个“断裂句”，就是我们熟悉的“强调句”，如果is前面有do的话，后面的to do中的to一半就会省略点，是个非常常见的现象】
2. The basics are as follows:… 【as follows固定表达，follow一定用复数】
3. When Elon gets into something, he develops just this different level of interest in it than other people. 【different后面接from, to, than都可以。接from最普通，to主要用在英国，than一般用在美国】
4. 独立结构
书中出现了一些独立结构，使得语义连贯表达简洁。独立结构可以理解为是with加形容词/分词/名词，有时候这个with也可以省略掉。它最主要语法特点是没有谓语动词，主要功能是做状语修饰整个句子。大家感受一下：
- Musk tumbled down the entire flight, and a handful of boys pounced on him,** some of them kicking** Musk in the side and the ringleader bashing his head against the ground.
- **Bags in hand**, Musk headed for a youth hostel.

熟词生义：
1. Its coverage in the magazine **netted** Musk five hundred dollars…【net在这里表示“净赚”】

1. The Blastar spread on page 69 of the magazine shows that the young man wanted got **go by** the sci-fi-author-sounding name E. R. Musk… 【go by是“被叫做…”，例如My name is 张海露, but I’d like to go by Eric.】
