I. Introduction:
I hoped this Human resource development project seem permit me to advance upgrade my information of what part HRD plays within the working environment. Sometime recently taking this course. I thought the HRD master incorporates a part of giving methodology to preparing and L&D is portion of the preparing area, However, I found it challenging to get it what part plays for HRD within the work environment. This article will reflect on the changes focuses in HRD and L&D.
II.My reflection on the role of HRD
When I was confused about these questions, I got the opportunity to work on arranging a group work for higher study prospects about HRD. For arranging the group work, almost every team member was expected to participate and discuss some questions which is what is the role of HRD.
To understand what role of HRD in the workplace, I go through lecture slides and discuss with group members which lecture could help us to understand what role HRD plays in the workplace. Before taking this class, I had heard about the profession of HRD and thought that the role of this profession was only to provide advice to companies on training employees, rather than direct training. However, I found the inadequacy of targeting on HRD specialist function, which could have led to a misunderstanding of the role of HRD after I read through lecture slides about the role of HRD.
I noticed that HRD specialists not only focus on providing strategy or program to the organization but also, attend to training and coaching employees. According to Stewart (2013), the purpose of HRD is to change behavior at both individual and organizational levels which captures the importance of HRD initiatives in solving the problem stated within the organization and thus improving employee wellbeing. It means HRD specialists play a significant role in L&D and coaching which could enhance employee well-being in the workplace and improve organizational performance.
