This week I read next part of the book for my fourth blog...Here are my answers:
Respond #1: What is this section about?
This part describes Haw's reflection and comprehension in the process of departure. After he had overcome his fear of the maze, he found it too late to start, and he thought that if he had a chance to start again, he must adapt to the change early. He also encouraged himself, telling himself, "Better late than never," and knowing that he was in the driver's seat, he could certainly move forward like Sniff and Scurry. On the way, he realized that the Cheese at Station C had not disappeared overnight, and that there had been warnings before.Knowing that he should be on high alert to adapt to the change, he wrote on the wall: “Smell the Cheese Often So You Know When It Is Getting Old”.
Respond #2: What does this section mean for you? Give a story from your life.
This part is actually a very important part of the plot. Haw reflects on his past performance, and the experience he has gained is also of great significance to us.As for me, I reviewed my performance in the first semester of freshman year in the winter vacation of this year, because I felt that my performance in that half year was very poor.I have not yet adapted to the life in university, dormitory life, and even once doubted that I could not get along with others. However, when I returned to the familiar environment, I realized that I did not follow the changes of the environment around me, so I was always influenced by the environment and gradually became frustrated. However, as for me now, I try my best to adjust the pace of my life to the same pace as the courses in university, so I fully feel the joy of university life. It also makes me understand that we should keep awake and reflect all the time, just like "Smell the Cheese Often", so as to change with the changes at any time.
