At the time of transition, normally the new president--Joe Biden--ought to under the spotlight, while this time his predecessor--Donald Trump grabbed it. Accused of provoking the Jan.6 insurrection, Trump’s second impeachment saturated the screens, which renders Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell and Representative Liz Cheney, who try to get things back on their track, compel GOP lawmakers to choose their camps. Apart from the inner quarrel, Trump also wrestles with a range of prosecutions from New York attorney, Manhattan DA and NAAC. For now and for Biden himself, the situation is not so bad as he promoted his political agenda gradually without strict supervision from the GOP and his low-key disposition. However, as it progresses, Biden will soon find out or already has, Trump’s existing leverage will be the obstacle in his ambitious proposals, which need people’s supports and not much time is left, rather the GOP’s.
