Watch out! QRIO, Sony's robot, is a few steps ahead of you. It is the world's first “running” robot.
Until recently robots could not run because they needed one foot on the floor at all times to remain stable（稳定的）.That all changed when Sony's technology allowed QRIO to run. The robot can travel 46 feet per minute, which is about 0. 5 mph. H QRIO were average human size, it would run a mile in 40 minutes. (Many humans can run a mile in about 10 minutes.)
QRIO is credited in Guinness World Records as being the first robot that is able to run.
And if QRIO falls, it will get right back up. QRIO is programmed to check its position after a fall. It then turns itself face up and stands up again.
It can talk with you and remember all of the facts, so it can have more conversations with you. QRIO even expresses feelings through movements, conversation, and the use of its lights. QRIO is a quite a friendly robot. If you meet the robot, it will ask you what kinds of things you like and don't like. The robot already knows tens of thousands of words. _
