《虽然》
虽然——
杨柳轻扬
抖落了一冬的严寒；
双燕归来
捎带回南海浪涛的笑靥。
我却莫名地
一丝儿凉意在心头纠缠，
眼前的景色也有些荒凉。
虽然——
清晨蓝宝石般的天空，
被巧舌鸟的赞美填满；
桃李争妍
饮千杯春江水脸热耳酣。
我于是——
把那点儿寂寞收藏
放纵起刻骨铭心的思念。
虽然——
浅滩芦芽
收留了一窝雏鸭；
水草丛中
鲤鱼拍打出絮絮情话。
我却在——
凝视烟水中若隐若现的影子，
还有那与孤鹜共舞的落霞。
虽然——
高傲的白玉兰
终于披上了圣洁的婚纱；
一片云彩
牵着月亮去寻找碧海浪花。
我还要——
修剪好参差摇曳的心绪，
完成一幅虚幻的图画。
MODERN POEMS
THOUTH
Though—
Willows sway in spring's soft grace,
Shedding frost, they bid adieu to cold;
Swallows dance with ocean' s trace,
Their laughter warm, a tale retold.
Yet in my heart, a shadow lies—
A winter's chill beneath the skies.
Though—
The dawn wears sapphire, bright and wide.
Swollen with the praise of birdsong.
Plums and peaches side by side,
Rain nurished, inside will ever strong.
I guard my solitude deep and true,
Let memories carve their bitter hue.
Though—
The reeds cradle ducklings small,
Where the goldfish hums a lullaby;
They splash in shallows to crawl
Ripples weave a sunlit sky.
I watch the mist where shadows play,
A lone heron flies at dusk's decay.
Though—
The proud blooming magnolia, white and tall,
At last has donned a bridal veil of light;
A wisp of cloud, soft- petaled, drifts to call
The wandering moon to dance with waves in flight.
Yet l must—
Purify my heart's wild, swaying tune,
And paint my dream beneath the moon.

1. 作者作品简介
朱夫子八旬翁, 毕业于复旦大学历史系，教师，诗人，出版过《月亮与菊花》(北京教育出版社) 和其它诗集，涵盖古诗词、仿元曲和现代诗三部分。
在这首现代诗中，夫子倾情歌颂了美好的春景，然而，在赏心悦目的感官表白背后，也一定蕴藏着真实的内心思索。因此从诗名到主题，以“虽然”来展开诗章。
2. 汉英格律说明
汉诗运用了“先an ian uan和佳a ia ua”二韵；英译为现代自由诗，无固定格和音步，但韵律较为工整，运用了ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHII JKJKLL韵律，即每节前四句隔行押韵，五、六句重韵。
3. shed: 去除；摆脱

5. chill：寒冷；害怕的感觉
6. sapphire: 蓝宝石；天蓝色
7. 饮千杯春江水脸热耳酣：意译成 Rain nurished, inside will ever strong. 朱夫子解读，此句为褒义。故笔者用 rain nurished 来实指水源，用 will 指代植物内在生长力并呼应尾韵。
8. 放纵起刻骨铭心的思念: 此句译为Let memories carve their bitter hue，尾词hue（色调，观点）为意译兼押诗韵。
9. cradle：轻抱着
10. hums a lullaby:（直译）哼唱一支摇篮曲。
11. donned: don 是 wear 或 put on 的文学用辞。
