Embrace the less
Ladies and gentlemen:
I want to ask all of you few questions:
Do you have many online friends ? If you do ,say "I"
Do you have many true friends as your online friends do?If you do, say"I"
So,it's obvious that we need the wisdom of less,we need to embrace the less, right? We were told since a little age to persuit more without denying if it's right. However, though we've lived the way we have lived for so long, though we've consumed the way we have for so long,it doesn't mean that we can carry on the way we're carrying on.Today i'm gonna show you why i insist on embrace the less and how can we do it.
Fisrt, why we should embrace the less.
Margaret Michele, the writer of 《gone with the wind》,created only one work through her long life time, which ,takes her 10 years to finish. We also know that 《gone with the wind》 is a classical masterpiece of America. Both the book and the movie is profuse in praise. With only one work, she rocked the world.
Why again?
Because she embraced her work, because she cherished her work, because she dedicated herself into her only work! One's energy and time is limited, while the resources remains infinite. In that case, what we should do is to take what we can ,and get the most of it.Once you dedicated yourself into your little life, you can do whatever you like. You may think, explore,or even practice. When you put all this things together, you'll find a marvelous world.
So,how can we embrace the world?
First,serve your interest.
I am here because i believe emotion is the force of life, the internal force of internal drive.I am here because i love it.Activated interest is precious, just keep keeping if you have.because it's the key to embrace the less.
Second,slow your pace.
Just as someone said in TED “Perhaps we're living in a world fabricated for efficiency, but efficiency can be a cult.” Slowing your pace can move you out of the cult and back to a far richer reality.Have you ever thought what you are running for when you hurry to get more?If you're confused about it,or if your answer is no,you need to slow down.
I would like to end this with nicai's words:"We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once."When you manic tweeting and texting, when you struggle to improve your efficiency, you're not dancing but hurrying.Just serve your interest, slow your pace , embrace the less, and dance with your life.
Thank you!
