Hello,I am Betty. I am 42 years old. My friends call me"female version of Gao Xiaosong" “女版高晓松”，because I am fat and short like him. I am talkative like him.Do you think so ?My major was English and history, but I am learning Chinese classics （中国古典文学），especially The Book of Songs《诗经》。Today, my topic is love.
First of all, I want to ask you a question,Now what do you love most in your life?
I love speaking -talking -chatting- discussing. And you?
When I was an English major student, I took part in all kinds of English speech contests and English debate competitions.And I a won a lot prizes. Because I love speaking English. My teacher told me “Don’t be shy, just try.”And I did it.
When I was a history student, I study Jewish people, you know that I admire their habits,like ”Whey they lie down, they think.whey they sit down, they read. When they stand up, they speak out their ideas.”good. I am a follower. There is an old saying for Jewish people”There are 11 solutions when 10 people are discussing one problem.”So I attach much importance on discussing with people.
You know that I learning The Book of Songs （《诗经》）, When I learn it, I find it’s terrific/amazing/fantastic! I would like to tell others how beauty they are. So I give lectures on every ancient poetry on every early morning. Because I love sharing. When I share them, my happiness doubled.
You know that,I was an English teacher/a translator/an English editor,but I am a saleswoman now, a new comer in the area,I have been in the area for only one year,but I am a top saleswoman, I get a good salary,because I love talking with my customers, ever a cheater or a liar or the guy from the same industry. I never refuse to talk with anyone no matter who is it. For example, a man who is good at talking, it seems that he is a cheater, “he is not a real customer.”My boss and colleagues warned me of it.But I still love talking with him with all my heart. I said that”let me try to communicate with him, because I never talk with a liar, it must be exciting.”At last , to everyone’s surprise, I made a deal with him.Because I answered his every question patiently and talked with him nicely and politely. I treated him sincerely.I love my job, because I can talk with guests all the time.It’s amazing.
A friend asked me Why I wanted to join our club.There are some reasons.First, I love making friends,I love outing,I love having a dinner party. Second, I love speaking English, I love English speeches.when I speak English in front of the audience,I feel I am special/unique/confident, I am proud of me.Third, I always get high-quality feedback from you after my speech.At the same time,I love being as an evaluator to give others advice.
