现代诗
栀子花白兰花
"栀子花～白兰花"。
长长弄堂里的凌乱嘈杂，
被悠悠岁月碾磨的
一声声酥糯叫唤融化。
石库门前的梧桐树影，
在湿漉漉的石板路面上打滑，
似乎在叙说一个个
苍老的童话。
满墙的红丝萝
在晨光里摩挲，
仿佛要挽留住那远的年华。
短短彩丝
捆扎着一束束如梦牵挂；
浅浅竹篮，
盛放着一堆堆芳香云霞。
也许
这幽幽淡淡的情怀
就要被遮天蔽日的浮华扼杀；
也许
这疏疏朗朗的心音，
在明日的尘埃里
再也找不到一个可以安身的家
或许
我们只能在未来的童谣里
才会邂逅影影绰绰的她—
"栀子花一一白兰花"!

Gardenia~ Michelia
" Gardenia~Michelia " heard in the long alley
Where an air of chaos and clamor used to stay.
Ground by years, the florist' s mellow calls melted away.
The shadows of phoenix trees by Shikumen gate,
Slip on the wet, glistening flagstones to create
A world of tales of their memorable fate .
Short threads of color, full of dreams in lace,
Cradle the fragrance in gentle embrace,
While shallow baskets hold the floral grace.
Maybe this soundless and
nostalgic mood,
Will be strangled by the tremendous flood
Of gilded clamer and modern falsehood.
Or maybe this sparse, true heartound
Will find no home in dusty ground,
Where tomorrow's winds blow unbound.
Maybe, in future nursery rhymes we here pray:
To greet her image while memories softly play
" Gardenia ~ Michelia "
would still echo away.

1. 汉诗作者简介
朱夫子，八旬翁，毕业于复旦大学历史系，教师，诗人，出版过《月亮与菊花》（北京教育出版社）和其它诗集，涵盖古诗词、仿元曲和现代诗三部分。
2. 汉英格律说明
1) 原作全诗押[佳]韵a ia ua。
2) 英译按意群押韵，首尾段重韵/eɪ/，并使用了易于表达叹息声的 away , 突出了对卖花吆喝声悠长的追忆和留恋。

4. ground: grind 的过去分词，磨碎；碾碎
5. mellow：醇厚的
6. Shikumen：石库门（ an traditional alley household in Shanghai )，此处用了被国际认同的音译。
7. flagstones: 石板
8. stroke：轻抚；抚摩
