Biden’s administration is expected to turn over the unfair status quo on the federal bench. That is to say, the Biden team tends to offer more seats to some historically underrepresented lawyers on the federal bench. For a long time, the fight between public defenders and prosecutors in court has been described as “David-versus-Goliath”. It is clear that “Davids” are vulnerable groups in court because of the lack of judges fighting for citizens. Libertarians and progressive legal activists hope to change the unfair situation in the justice system and call for a change in the substantive diversity of it. Biden needs to change the image of the past and make amends by nominating judges who battle the government in court.
