梁树丽老师三周前就给我们布置了观课研课并提交一篇观课总结,内容围绕着这节课例带给自己哪些新的启示和帮助。头一段时间忙着准备期末考试,看了一遍刘婕老师的课,也没有看出个一二三,索性等放假了再看再写!放假了一堆借口,已经逾期了,才又打开课例。
看到刘婕老师的优质课是人教版九年级全一册Unit1 Section B《How do you become a successful learner》,但授课中呈现的却不是书中的原文,在练习题中又出现了Section A的课文作为语篇填空来练习词汇的运用。
这一番操作可把我这个讲课总是中规中矩的人弄懵了,这是我第一次听不出老师在讲什么课,就连老师的讲课内容在书本中也找不到具体的地方。思考中我后知后觉,这就是我之前一直听英语大咖们所讲的大单元授课,这也是刘老师的高明之处,刘老师将这一单元的内容根据学生的认知进行了整合。
先看刘老师出示的本课教学目标:1.通过阅读,梳理主题词汇,归纳词汇变形及用法。2.基于词汇变形规则在语境中灵活应用。3.分享语言学习问题,探索解决办法,培养积极的学习态度。
我们不难发现刘老师是真正做到词不离句、句不离文,她在文中讲解主题词汇。
再看刘老师的导入:1.Do you like English? 2.How many years have you learned English? 3.What problems do you have when learning this language?刘老师从学生学习英语的真实经历导入,让学生有话可说,为下文的引出做足了铺垫。
接下来看看刘老师改编的文本。How Can You Become a Successful Language Learner?
It can sometimes be a little difficult to learn a foreign language fluently. But there are many things you can do to make your learning more successful.
Listening
Doing some listening practice helps us greatly. Whether you choose the news on the radio or foreign speeches, listen many times until you totally understand. Good learners may also take notes by writing down key words. This way they can have a better understanding of what they’ve heard.
Speaking
When you speak a foreign language, it’s normal to have an accent. That’s OK because other people can usually understand. It’s also a good idea to listen to CDs and try to imitate other speakers to make your pronunciation better. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes! Good learners will keep
practising and learn from mistakes.
Reading
Get into the habit of everyday reading. Anything can be chosen to read : from newspapers to story books. If you see a new word, and you don’t know what it means, you can sometimes guess the meaning from words you know, or you can look up the word in a dictionary.
Writing
If you want to improve your writing, read more good articles and learn from them. Before writing, it’s better to create an outline. You can start from sentences, then paragraphs and finally passages.
Learning is a long journey because every day brings something new. Everything that you learn becomes a part of you and changes you, so learn wisely and learn well!
不得不说,刘老师改编的文本就是妙,经过刘老师这么改编加整合,文本围绕着学生学习外语时所遇到的听、说、读、写的问题,更贴切学生的学情,学生更好理解文本内容,更容易采纳文本给出学习语言的好建议。刘老师真正做到了活用教材,不拘泥教材,整合教材为学生所用,同时也做到了深耕文本,又能跳出文本。
刘老师在授课中,会弯腰低头观察学生的练习情况,给足了学生思考和练习的时间。相比自己的课,每个环节所用时间自己会事先估算好,否则,就会出现我讲不完课,整节课还是以我为主,我很少估计到学生的接受能力,只顾着我能不能讲完课,却忽略了学生在这节课能学到多少。整节课的流程就是为了秀自己的教学技能、教学方法和教学设计。我每一次听公开课,只关注授课老师的教什么、怎么教,从未认真观察学生学了什么和怎么学。
我感觉我特别幸运能够在这一次听课中发现自己教学的巨大漏洞,这是我今后备课和授课需要第一时间关注的地方。
刘老师在进行小组合作展示时,解决了一直困扰我的教学问题。在我的课堂上每一次的课堂展示,都会出现一组展示,其他小组窃窃私语准备自己的,根本不会认真倾听展示小组的内容。而刘老师用提问题回答问题地方式很巧妙地解决了我的难题。
最后作业的布置也是分层布置,有必做和选做。让学生们量力而行,刘老师考虑到了学生的个别差异,满足了不同学生的学习需求,并且能够促进学生的全面发展。必做作业是让学生写一篇有关语言学习的经历、建议或计划。这也是课堂上输入后的输出作业,更好地反馈学生学会了多少的检测。
我个人认为这是一节真正从学生的学情出发、脚踏实地的大单元教学课。刘老师的这节课让我对大单元教学有了深一层的认识。
